What is it used for?

NYM tokens serve a dual role within the platform:

  • Staking: To ensure the legitimacy and commitment of node operators, a staking mechanism is employed, where a certain number of NYM tokens need to be locked up as a form of collateral.

Who created it?

The Nym Token (NYM) was created by a team led by Harry Halpin, who is the CEO and Chairman of the Scientific board. Another key member of the team is Claudia Diaz, the chief scientist at Nym.
