It comprises a set of non-upgradable smart contracts that prioritize censorship resistance, security, and self-custody. The protocol employs the Hedera Token Service (HTS) to facilitate its transactions, which are structured with a fee system denominated in U.S. dollars.
The SAUCE token is a fundamental component of SaucerSwap, enabling the functionality of its automated market maker (AMM), which is used for peer-to-peer market making and swapping of HBAR and HTS tokens.
SaucerSwap is utilized for various decentralized finance (DeFi) services. These services go beyond just token swaps and staking in liquidity pools. They include yield farming and single-sided staking, which are designed to increase DEX liquidity by incentivizing participants to stake or invest cryptocurrency. The platform's unique selling points include its cost efficiency, performance, MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) resistance, user-friendliness, and the Liquidity-Aligned Reward Initiative (LARI). LARI aligns rewards to the efficiency of liquidity provided, which can be distributed in HBAR and/or any HTS tokens.
