BTC Standard Hashrate Token (BTCST) is a collateralized token that represents Bitcoin hashrate, or the computational power of the Bitcoin network. Each BTCST token is backed by 0.1 TH/s of Bitcoin mining power.
BTCST was created by a team of developers and entrepreneurs led by Alexander Liegl, the co-founder of Layer1 Technologies, a Texas-based Bitcoin mining company.
BTCST allows users to participate in Bitcoin mining without having to own and operate their own mining hardware. Token holders can stake their BTCST tokens and receive a portion of the Bitcoin mining rewards generated by the underlying hashrate.
