Keep3rV1 is a decentralized platform that acts as a coordination network between projects requiring external development operations and those capable of providing these services. Functioning akin to a job board, it connects job posters (like decentralized finance protocols) with job executors, known as Keepers. Keepers undertake a range of tasks from executing on-chain transactions to complex off-chain operations.
KP3R, an ERC-20 token, is utilized for governance and rewarding Keepers on the platform. The project was launched in beta mode on the Ethereum mainnet on October 28, 2020.
Keep3rV1 addresses the challenges faced by blockchain projects that rely heavily on smart contracts for complex systems, often requiring external actors for task completion. It offers a decentralized ecosystem where projects and developers collaborate efficiently. Keepers, who manage smart contracts, bots, or scripts, are key to executing transactions or triggering events. They are reviewed and approved by bonded Keepers, who have staked KP3R tokens. This unique approach facilitates the development of DApps that might not otherwise be feasible, enhancing the blockchain ecosystem's capabilities.
Keep3rV1 was founded by Andre Cronje, a prominent blockchain engineer and application developer. Cronje gained recognition following the launch of the yearn.finance DeFi project and the explosive growth of its governance token, YFI.
