Playermon (PYM) is a cryptocurrency token used within the Playermon metaverse. It serves as the main governance token, allowing users to buy and sell non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and planets within the game world.
Playermon (PYM) has a multifaceted role in its ecosystem. It is a governance token, enabling holders to participate in shaping the game's direction through voting. The token is also used for various in-game transactions, such as purchasing genesis eggs of Playermons, breeding Playermons, acquiring items for crafting and building, and upgrading SpaceDens. Additionally, it facilitates participation in open-world planet exploration, expansion of space colonial bases with community-built assets, and listing of originally-designed game assets in the marketplace. In future expansions, PYM will have a decentralised finance (DeFi) component, allowing token holders to stake PYM to earn rewards.
Playermon was created by a team led by co-founders Jisheng Tan (CEO), Joseph Leng (Chief Creative Officer), BT Wong, and Dato Rayson Wong. Leong Kee Lim serves as the Chief Technology Officer of the project.
