The Token: Onyxcoin (XCN) is the native cryptocurrency used on the Onyx Protocol and ecosystem. It is an Ethereum-based token that is used to vote on protocol updates and different community-driven initiatives.
The Platform/Project: Onyxcoin, previously known as Chain, is a web3 blockchain platform that provides organizations with the tools to create robust financial services from scratch. Founded in 2014, Onyxcoin allows smart contracts to be used in a way that’s both scalable and easy to use. It’s a creative, distributed, multi-asset, cryptographic ledger that makes it easier for different networks to work together and share information.
XCN, Onyxcoin’s governance and utility token, has multiple functions beyond being a store-of-value. Because Onyxcoin is a DAO, XCN is used to vote on protocol improvements as well as community-driven programs.
Onyxcoin was founded by Adam Ludwin.
